Knowing how to do the work is only part of what was passed down.
So was the belief that you treat people fairly, tell them the truth, and don’t charge them for work they don't need.
There have been times when a job turned out to be simpler than expected; or a customer paid more than they owned. The answer was never to pocket the difference. It was to make it right.
That’s the standard 41:10 intends to carry forward.
MORE THAN A NAME
41:10 came before the business did.
Before 41:10 Land Works existed, I was in the middle of one of the biggest transitions of my life. I had made the decision to leave behind a decade-long career in accounting and auditing, and while I knew it was time to move on, I didn’t know exactly what came next.
With that decision came a lot of uncertainty. I questioned what was ahead, whether I was making the right choice, and if what I was stepping toward would work at all.
Then came a reminder.
One day, a little card with Isaiah 41:10 showed up at my apartment.
“Do not fear, for I am with you…”
The timing meant something to me. In a moment when fear had gotten loud, those words were louder. I knew God was with me, that I was being directed rather than left to figure everything out on my own, and that His strength would be enough for whatever came next.
And when the time came, the name was already there.
The business itself would come later. But when it was finally time to give it a name, I didn't have to search for one.
41:10.
It represents more than the faith that helped me take that first step. It represents how we want to keep taking them: with integrity in the work, trust in the direction we’re headed, and the understanding that we’re never building alone.
